Marshall JTM 45 2245 Reissue – Excellent Condition I’m not happy about it, but it is time to sell off my fantastic amp collection. This one is a super special JTM 45 Reissue from 2000. It is in fantastic condition, kept in its Marshall cover for many years. When I bought it, I decided I wanted it to sound like my friend’s JTM 45, which is not only a great example of a JTM 45, but is also a fire-breathing monster! Since he just happens to be a master amp guy, he modded the amp a bit to give it some oomph, and let me tell you, this amp has the goods! The amp still retains the real Marshall JTM 45 character, but with “more”. We added a bit of gain to the amp, giving it a singing tone, some nice bite if you want it, and converted from 6L6 power tubes to EL34’s. This gives the amp some earlier breakup that sounds amazing! I also had him cascade the channels to give the amp a higher gain input, which gives you a simply awesome lead sound! Fantastic sustain, tons of harmonics, overtones, undertones, this amp has it all. (Note: if you want to be able to jumper the channels, the cascade mod is easily reversable.) On top of that, we added a master volume in one of the speaker outputs (no holes were drilled!), so you can tame some of the volume of this 30-watt beast. Eventually, I got a Fryette PS2, so I run the amp cranked and attenuate with the PS2, but you have the option of this very useful master volume built in. This is a no-BS amp, you have to play it to experience how killer it sounds and feels. Bring your guitar and check it out, you will walk out with it for your own.
