This is an inSinkerator sink top switch. Controls operation of your garbage disposal by a pushbutton. It goes in one of your extra sink holes. Whichever hole is not covered by your kitchen faucet base plate. The button is NOT ELECTRIC its mechanical so there's no electricity going through the switch whatsoever. In other words it cannot be damaged from being splashed with water. Splash it all day , this thing is good to go no matter what. Ive installed several of these myself. Easiest install ever. Costs $140 at HD, im selling it for $50
