Description

Original, vintage, authentic Japanese press sheet (9.5”x20.25”) movie poster from the first release of the 1968 musical action film “Speedway” starring pop idols Elvis Presley & Nancy Sinatra. This original, vintage unfolded & unrestored 1968 first release Japanese B2 poster (9.5”x20.25”) for “Speedway” is in very fine condition & displays very well. The poster has some minor wear & tear. As is typical of many Japanese film posters, this excellent creative design features terrific images of the two stars & scenes from the film. Japanese film posters typically feature some of the very best artwork of a film’s stars that I have seen & are admired by collectors. Please see full-color images above. “Speedway” was the first film about NASCAR & has been credited as a major proponent in increasing knowledge about the sport. This would be the final "formula" musical film of Presley's career. His remaining films would be less musical & more adult in tone. The film was a smash hit in 1968.
