The AKAI Professional APC Mini is a compact, portable USB MIDI controller designed for seamless integration with Ableton Live, FREE ABLETON LIVE LITE or even used as a “Universal MIDI” that is plug & play ready; only having to use remapping! It’s ideal for music production and live performances! It features an 8x8 grid of 64 RGB-backlit clip-launching pads for triggering loops, samples, and scenes, plus 9 assignable faders for controlling volume, pan, and effects. Its plug-and-play USB-powered design makes it perfect for mobile musicians and desktop producers. Full Capabilities as a Universal MIDI Controller, The APC Mini’s versatility extends beyond Ableton Live or the FREE LITE version, making it a highly easy & mappable Universal MIDI controller for various music and podcast software like: FL Studio, Logic Pro X, GarageBand, Audacity & virtually any software! (Even a sound effects board!) Its 64 RGB pads and 9 faders can be custom-mapped to control MIDI parameters, such as triggering samples, adjusting effects, or automating podcast audio levels. The pads send MIDI note data, and faders send continuous controller (CC) messages, allowing flexible assignments in any DAW. With Ableton Live Lite & Paid Live Versions (included for FREE), the APC Mini offers 1-to-1 integration for launching clips in Session View, controlling Drum Racks in Drum Mode, and playing melodic parts in Notes Mode with Smart Scale View to prevent wrong notes. The 9 faders map to volume, pan, or device macros, and soft keys provide quick access to Solo, Mute, Stop, and Record functions. For paid Ableton Live versions (Standard/Suite), the APC Mini unlocks advanced features like larger projects, more effects, and deeper automation, with the same tactile control over clips, scenes, and macros, enhancing creative looping, remixing, and live performance!
