(SALE CURRENTLY PENDING) This lovely antique piano has a beautiful sound quality. I consulted an antique piano specialist, who told me the following: "The piano was built in 1922 during the 'Golden Age' of piano building in America. It is made of imported Honduran Mahogany wood and is of the Colonial style. The maker was the Christman Piano Company, which was located at East 137th Street in New York City. The firm was originally established by Peter Christman in 1885, and was incorporated in 1911 by his sons. Christman was known for building high grade, expensive pianos…Due to the fact that they were so expensive when new, they were sold in relatively modest numbers. Surviving ones are of consistently high quality and craftsmanship and are not commonly encountered today" (Antique Piano Shop). I have loved playing this piano and am going to miss it but am about to move across country. Due to its age, there are some scuffs and signs of wear, but it is in overall good used condition. The bench (not original to the piano) is included. Serious potential buyers are welcome to come do a test play. Buyer is responsible for moving the piano.
