"The SKUTT KM1027 has everything most potters need in a kiln. The chamber size is tall enough to fire a 23" tall pot and wide enough to hold a 21" platter. It comes standard with the smartest controller on the market (it will even calculate your cost of firing) and has a lid lifter to boot!" (copied from Skutt website) A little history on this unit...it belongs to my mother and is about 10 years old. She bought new (over $2k). She used it flawlessly for about 2 years, then life got in the way and she stopped making cermics. So the kiln sat in the garage. She has now decided to sell it. it is in EXCELLENT shape. You may notice in the picture the ceramic plug is broken, but still functional & the other plugs are in a box that goes with it. Replacement plugs can be ordered from DickBlick.com for about $6+shipping. A PRIME PIECE OF EQUIPMENT AT A GREAT PRICE!
