This wood and tin washboard was made in the early 1900's by The Monarch Manufacturing Co in Tiffin, Ohio. These washboards were discontinued in 1929. It is for decorative use. *** It has a wood frame with vertical boards and a metal/tin rusty top on one side. It reads THE MONARCH MFG CO MONARCH NO. 70 TIFFIN, O USA It measures 25 1/4" tall X 12 3/4" wide x 2 1/2" deep at the top and 1" at the bottom. The other side is rusty metal. The top is concave with holes and ribbing in the metal.
