This item is IDENTICAL to and FULLY COMPATIBLE with Comcast's at clocked speeds exceeding 500 mbs. Comcast's units, also manufactured by Arris, only differ in color (the case is black) and Comcast charges $15/month rent WITHOUT the battery, a $95 value, which it will rent for an additional $10/month. I used this unit until I dropped Comcast and it works PERFECTLY. It's a STEAL at this price, and you will make up the cost in less than 5 months!
