The drivers are all original series 1 as well as the original "E" crossovers. The capacitors have been tested and read within 1% of spec, all wires have been upgraded with pure copper strand with new end connectors, the wire inputs have been upgraded to accept 12ga wires. The cabinets are ¾" MDF, all seams are glued and have glued and screwed block backings covering 100% of corners and edges, the motorboard is inset in a groove and glued in place with block backing, there are braces running between the mid horn and woofer on the motorboard and another across the back panel. The horns have been rolled to mount on the front of the motorboard to reduce reflections. The sound is fantastic and never honky or shrill, they will be set up to compare with a set of $10k Martin Logan Prodigy speakers for direct comparison, they sound smooth and detailed with any type of music . The low roll off is now in the 40Hz range compared to the original 60Hz in the stock cabinets. The cabinets are free from noise and colorations ,fit and finish are better than new. Grills are held in place using magnets. I've been restoring a set of Heresy's each year, I did plan on keeping these but ended up buying a few sets of Martin Logan electrostats and need to sell off extra speakers to recoup some cash.
