I love this set. My husband had told me he had always wanted a 50’s set. I didn’t want reproductions. It also needed to be [Nebraska] red (Go Huskers!). I am only the 2nd owner. The original was a young mom; this was her first “real” furniture. She passed it to her son but he never used it & kept it stored for 19 years until I bought it. We have loved this set for 10 years; aside from our bed, this was the only furniture we brought when we relocated to Virginia. I couldn’t find any other with this combination – square table, black pedestal base, unique backrest shape, extra padded seats, beautiful red color & “glitter” vinyl. It’s perfectly sized to anchor small spaces. CONDITION: • Vintage. Original Condition Unaltered. Not “perfect”, but in awesome condition, & excellent for almost 70 years old. Solid, sturdy & structurally sound. Original finish & vinyl. There’s minor rust from age. The chrome needs work to get it back to its glorious shine. There are a few tiny nicks in the tabletop, but NO major chips. There are scruffs here & there in the vinyl if you look closely, but NO tears. The glitter is much more sparkly, especially under light. You will have to see in person to appreciate. There are bits of white paint stuck to the back of the chairs. I love the story of how they got there. The seller’s mom just painted their kitchen & the kids pushed their chairs against the walls when the paint was still wet.
