I'm poating this one as whoever is curious about the varience in actual gild weight as I stated how most today feel more hollow and this ( though 14kt as opposed to the 18kt putchased around the same time is a good example as many are not clear on gold filled jewelery. It is hypoallergenic (I have even gotten a rash from pure 10kt gold,nevermind silver, costume...FOEGET IT, in my case. I stated there is NO difference in feel or reaction as gold filled are pricier due to the % of gold they actually contain. This one is in fact graduated but prettier to me as it is simply a matter of preferance. For example 24kt gold is gross looking to me and I prefer the 14kt in hue. In a ring for example I would want 14kt, if everyday dainty on a delicate necklace I would choose 18kt as it is more fragile but as a ring it would be impractical & a hassle to keep up with scratch & dents. When gold filled you can sleep in, swim, bathe, etc and not worry about denting, scratching, fading, or allergic reactions. I would use 10k for things like pins, earrings, or pendants as I have witness rings in 10kt snap ( not on myself) as I take everytging off by habit when in for the day. This graduated toggle is much more intriquete in design as each ring is 3 seprate triples in each link. IT will NEVER tarnish or fade on you, I always recommend everyone do their own research. I prefer the look of sterling silver over all metals but end up tossing most as they tend to blacken if nor regularly cleaned/maintained. Ywt no other metal compares to the blinding sparkle of silver, and it is not prone to scratching or bending but sadly I cannot wear it for days in a row personally because evebtually I get a minor rash. ty for reading and checking out my stuff loves ;)
