Pioneer SX 1980 monster receiver

Up for grabs is one of my most coveted pieces. This monster of a unit is considered the “Holy Grail” in the Pioneer community. It’s Pioneers end game during their time in the wattage wars of the 70’s. This flagship unit boasts a whopping 275WPC’s, and won’t back down from anything you throw at it. It’s clean inside out, and runs flawlessly. A bit of a backstory on this receiver: About 3 years ago, this originally comes from a home in Fort Collins, CO. The owner has long since passed away, and his son during that time decided to sell this gorgeous piece in an estate sale. I’m the lucky person who came across it first. From the information the gentleman provided me, his father bought it overseas in the early 80’s. It hasn’t seen much use under the ownership of his father. The last service/maintenance date is shown on the back, in 2019. Since the purchase, this unit hasn’t seen much use in my possession either. Which brings me to this post, I’m selling it since I know someone else will better enjoy it. I’ve already got a G22000 and another SX-1980 that I’m using. No sense keeping 2 of them. The price is what it is. I’m not going to budge or reduce it. So please don’t send me any offers. I’m firm on what I’m asking, and not in a hurry to sell. I’m also willing to do trades for vintage equipment. Mainly Bose, Sansui and pioneer speakers, since I have a core demographic that are collectors of these brands.
