The breeding units are Horticultural Research Institute of Guangxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Bobai County Agricultural Technology Extension Center and Xinye Pitaya Planting Cooperative in Dongping Town, Bobai County. "Guihonglong No. 1" pitaya is the first red-fleshed pitaya variety (Guishenguo No. (contact info removed)) that has passed the provincial variety approval in China without artificial pollination. Planting this variety can avoid the work of carrying out artificial pollination at night for more than 40 days accumulatively in 13-15 batches every year. The natural pollination rate of this variety is 95%, the rate of large fruit is 51.0%, and the rate of commercial fruit is 96.7%. There are 13 to 15 batches of fruit each year, of which 6 are large batches. The fruit is nearly spherical, relatively large, with a longitudinal diameter of 8.0cm-12.5cm and a transverse diameter of 7.0cm-12.0cm. The scales are 26-32 light green, long, medium-thick, and not rolled back. The top of the scales is purple-red; the navel of the fruit is The mouth is narrow and protruding, and it is not easy to crack the fruit; the weight of a single fruit is 350-900 grams, and the average weight of a single fruit is 533.3 grams.
