Ford big block 390 ford engine and C-6 transmission running and ready to install. Asking $5000 or best offer You're looking at a Ford 390 V-8 originally from a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500. The engine had about 60,000 miles on it when it was swapped back in the mid 70s, and has about 10-20k miles on it since then. The engine runs smoothly and reliably. Starts right up hot or cold. The engine has all stock internals and the following alterations/upgrades: -Edelbrock Performer intake manifold -Aluminum valve covers with 1/4" thick flanges -Stainless 1-3/4" primary stainless steel headers with V-band flanges/clamps -Mallory Unilite ignition module -Rochester style 2bbl carburetor and spread bore adapter. I have a Holley 1850 4bbl that I can give you for free. -Powermaster ultra-torque starter and heat shield. Recent (within 2,000 miles) Maintenance items -New water pump -New mechanical fuel pump -New double roller timing chain. -New Fel-Pro valve cover gaskets (still minor leak, could use some RTV) I would trust this engine and transmission to reliably drive cross country and back right now. Added a power steering pump/bracket in 2018 when converted to power steering. The pump is from a late 80s crown vic and is the saginaw style. Sale doesn't include the hose. The transmission is a C-6 that was was installed back in the 90s and probably has about 20k miles on it. It has a mild shift kit, and will chirp the tires if you get on it. Never slips and is super smooth. Sale includes the transmission yoke. Oil changes on both engine and transmission have been done regularly throughout the life of the engine. Oil consumption is probably a quart every 2k miles, some of that is a persistant oil pan drip. The trans oil pan likewise has a small drip.
