This nightstand is a heavy, quality piece of furniture, built of solid wood. I love the deep wood grains & dark wood with variegated coloring which gives it depth & character. We have many Restoration Hardware furnishings & got this piece because it compares well & fits in with them. It is very similar to the RH Shutter Open Nightstand. Versatile enough to be used at the end of a sofa or next to a favorite reading chaise. Would fit equally well in an architectural environment, with stacks of classic books; decorated with candlesticks & family photos for a traditional feel; or topped with seashells & coral under an antique cloche for coastal living or cottage charm. This has been used in a guest bedroom, mostly for staging as our friends & family remained on the West Coast when we relocated here. No children. No pets.
