Marklin Model Train Layout and Operating System

Marklin HO model train layout. This is the layout, with track, bridge, and controls, not including any locomotives or cars - though we can include some decorative bits (kits for vintage-style town buildings, e.g.). The layout is set up with vintage M track. The intention was to build a digital layout while using vintage Marklin components. The track switches are manually operated with old Marklin components, but the entire layout is digitally controlled and all locomotives (potentially for sale, but to be sold separately – inquire if interested) are digital. The layout is set up to run two trains independently on the perimeter, with a small spur yard where you can do car switching. Overall size is approximately 8’ x 9’. The layout was designed to be deconstructed with just a couple of cuts to the platform, and loosening some screws - so you could easily pick it up and put it back together in its new home the same day. If you love the idea of having and running model trains, but are not super-mechanical, this would be a GREAT deal for you! This is an awesome layout, created by someone who is crafty and mechanical. The bridge is also a lift door, so the conductor can stand in the middle, operate the controls and enjoy the trains. We’ve run two trains on it, and it works great! We just never quite got around to decorating the layout - and it deserves better. : ) Components and materials cost well over the price - and it is set up and ready to go!
