Vintage MEI (Mountain Equipment Inc.) travel backpack from the 1990s. This backpack that has seen some amazing travels! It has an internal frame that can pack away (see photos) so that the clips and straps won't get damaged when you check it no an airplane/train/bus, etc. It's a soft internal frame, so no digging into your body. It can be carried as a duffle when the straps are folded inward. The storage and compartments are really useful. It's unusual to have 2 separate sides with the backpack unfolding. When you open the bag, you can see everything, but unlike with traditional duffles or stuff backpacks, you don't have to unpack the entire bag to access your stuff. If you're like me and you hate spending lots of time unpacking and repacking, this you'll love this design. One side expands with an extra 2-3 inches (see the green portion). I traveled with this bag 3 months around Europe, and it was all I needed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have! 22 inches long x 16.5 inches wide x 13 inches deep (fully expanded). Similar vintage MEI bags go for much higher on ebay!
