They are a lightweight water resistant fabric, great for hiking, where you can zipper part of the pant legs off to convert them to shorts. Three front pockets, one with a zipper. Button fly opening with 3" zipper and interior draw string cord. Two rear pockets, one zippered. Excellent quality. Given to me as a gift but they are the wrong size.
