Here is a description about the modifications made on my Airstream: The Pullman Sleeper Airstream Is one-of a kind.  This 20’ Airstream has been customized to the nth-degree.  It has two full-sized twin sleeper beds.  The mattresses are from Air Beds Unlimited.  Under the bottom mattress is the compressor with controls for each bed right by the pillows.  Airstream said it couldn’t be done – well, there it is! The interior additions include a microwave on top of the refrigerator, removal of the solid bathroom door and adding a folding door, revising the swing of the closet to function more conveniently, and a customized rolled and pleated leather dinette(like cars in the old days).  The dinette cushions have been upgraded and fastened in place with zippers so that the cushions are removable but they don’t move around like all the other trailers. The kitchen in this 20’ Airstream is the largest of any Airstream made.  Probably an accident by the engineers when this kitchen was created! The running gear has been upgraded to two 16” light truck tires (LT MS2 16” Michelin, load range “E”, 10 ply tires) and powder-coated steel wheels with stainless steel valve stems.  The weight distribution hitch is an Anderson.  It is rated at 10,500#, way over the actual weight of this trailer.  But, this hitch is the lightest weight hitch made.  Anti-sway is built-in to this hitch by design. This trailer was owned by an engineer that spent five years writing technical articles for the Airstream magazine – the “Blue Beret”.  It’s unique, it’s special, it is for sale by owner!   Additions: the leather bench, stainless steel bannister, microwave and improved suspension.  2006-airstream-safari-special-edition-brochure 2006 Airstream Safari  Model  number: M25wb
