An Arraiolos rug, Arraiolos tapestry, Arraiolos carpet or Portuguese needlework rug (in Portuguese, Tapete de Arraiolos) is a traditionally embroidered wool rug made in the town of Arraiolos, Portugal, dating back to at least the 16th century. They are partly inspired by Persian carpets, though there are notable differences in their construction and design. Excellent pre owned condition This has been kept up very well and still looks great (not sure the exact age) guessing late 19th - 20th century. I believe it’s wool by the feel of it. It is a lighter weight. Perfect size as an entryway rug, kitchen or bathroom Hardly any flaws, please see all photos and video.
