Aquarium - IceCap Turf Algae Scrubber -Medium 60W

This Algae Scrubber has good functioning body, but one of the lights flicker. This unit has two 30w LED units one on each side, each with its own chord) Both lights light up but one of the light unit blinks. I priced this appropriately for someone that doesn’t mind a little DIY. I am closing down tanks so I don’t need this scrubber at the moment. I already checked the ballast and it does not appear to be the issue. It looks to be the led board that is flickering. First solutions - buy a cheap led board or rob a led board from a cheap grow light bulb (10-15$). All you would need is solder 2 wires. Second solution is to remove the light (2 plastic screw mount) as shown on the photo and then strap on lights of your choice. I would say this is a good opportunity to save money,have fun with DIY, and come out with an algae scrubber that harvests algae better than the original. Let me know if you have any questions.
