Description

This is a unique, free-standing Magnifying Glass with a cast iron base. Ideal for repair of watches, jewelry etc. and the close examination of coins, stamps, gems, documents etc. Approximate lens diameter is 4 1/2.” When fully extended, measures approximately 19” tall. Base measures approximately 6 3/4” x 4 3/4”. The base features a traditional Art Deco design and features a front indentation for housing paper clips, thumb tacks, pins etc. Underside of the base has a molder’s mark of 20 which, most likely, signifies the pattern. Thoughtfully designed with additional metal support to the underside section where the arm is connected to the base - so as to prevent detachment. Chrome gooseneck arm can be manipulated easily and adjusted to a desired position. I am not sure of the lens magnification. Shiny and attractive. Excellent condition with very little wear to the base. No scratches or chips on the glass lens. Very heavy and well made. Cash only. Pickup in New Hyde Park, Nassau County, Long Island.
