Virgina Curtis created this friendly puppet in 1937. He was pretty famous- in the world of puppets. She later turned the production lover to the Effanbee doll company. With original tags, they can sell for $200-500. Some types are selling for much less. (See the article by John Sikorski 2021. The Gainesville Sun) $50for the set. OBO My dad, Don Ave, also a puppeteer, was friends with Virginia. The notes in the pics are my Dad’s. One of the Clippo puppets in the first photo is hanging up in David A Antiques store in La Mesa. So there is one less than posted here.
