Reinhold Bogner created and designed the circuits and Line 6 manufactured, marketed and customer supports the amp line. Alchemist has two channels: Gold, the left channel, opens gradually to present simmering blues tones; Mercury, on the right, invokes the famous white-hot Bogner gain. Both channels bring out the natural characteristics of your guitar, no matter what you're playing. There's also a 20-watt variac mode that's perfect for lower volume gigs. Effects include a variety of Reverb and Delay styles. The effects are parallel in the circuit and remain separate from the original signal.
