Description

Early 1960's Bassett (Virginia) Dresser, Mirror and 2 Matching End Tables French Provincial - Antique White Solid Wood. Bassett Dresser 202 52 217 D - J 85 W Antique White – Fleurette 53" wide x 20" deep x 63" tall (including mirror) This dresser is in very good shape. Coming out of my mother's home in Carson City, NV, to home Studio City, CA, and then into storage 2001. It was bought new in either late 50's-early 60's. Has been in storage covered and not disturbed since 2001. There are only a few nicks on lower front and light perfume spotting on top. All drawer handles and decoration and paint are original. Drawers are all intact and in very good shape. Both left and right brackets/bolts for the matching mirror that attaches are intact. Original “Bassett Furniture Label” in top left drawer. Original Attached Mirror: 51 202 52 211 Antique White 40" wide x 30" tall Mirror has all brackets and hardware for mounting to dressor. Original paint and glass mirror It is in very good condition. 2 Matching End Tables: (1) 202 52 270 N S - J 75 (2) 202 52 270 N S - J 76 Antique White – Beauvais 20" wide x 15 1/2" deep x 24" tall The End Tables were purchased at the same time but have had more wear and tear. Photos detail where paint has cracked and peeled off top of table (2) and various nicks and scratches inside and out on both tables. All paint is original and tables were purchased at the same time as the Vanity Dresser and Mirror. Redlicks Labels are inside drawers and on the back. All handles are original. History- the set was probably purchased from exclusive “Home Furniture, Inc.” Reno, NV, on First at Sierra Street, which carried the Redlick's Brand and was just across from the famous “Mapes Hotel” (imploded Jan. 2000). My mother would take me shopping with her in Reno to Mynard's Clothing and Home Furniture, and then we would go for grilled cheese sandwiches and Chocolate Ice Cream Sodas at the Mapes for lunch.
