Description
This lamp was purchased as is in the 1950’s at an antique store in San Francisco’s Chinatown. It’s made from an antique rice storage container, typically made of red and black hand-lacquered bamboo, wrapped with wicker. The lid is not glued in, some of the wicker straps are broken away and there is damage on one of the four sides (please see photos). The harp arms are wobbly so this does need a bit of a tweaking to get it stable. The shade is obviously not original but the old silk shade was in shreds. You don’t need to take the shade if you don’t want, it’s the only one I had available to photograph it. It’s really a lovely piece and if it’s got the one side to a wall you’d never know there was damage. My client said she purchased it exactly as it is, got a good deal on it, lol. Priced accordingly. Measures (without the shade) 17” t x 11’ w Cash and pick up at Central and Camelback in Phoenix
