Chinese Carpet - Contemporary

This carpet is 100 percent virgin wool and was manufactured in Hong Kong in 1976. The pattern is called Sunburst for obvious reasons. The vivid color scheme is symmetrical from the center to each of the four sides and from the center of each side to the left and right. Note the depth of the pile is approximately 5/8 inch. For 20 years it was displayed in a wall mounted frame with no direct sunlight. After that it resided beneath a parlor grand piano to acoustically soften the sound of the piano. And again no direct sunlight exposure. It has never been out for general traffic. It is 6 ft x 9 ft. If you need a striking accent carpet, this is it.
