This is a doll of the French comic character Bécassine. The specific doll shown, "L'Enfance de Bécassine" ("The Childhood of Bécassine"), was created by R. John Wright Dolls for a United Federation of Doll Clubs (UFDC) special event in 2006. The doll is made of felt and has a molded face with hand-painted features. It is a limited edition piece, with a production run of 400 dolls. The doll is dressed in a provincial felt and cotton costume. Please see picture detail, as they are part of the description.
