This listing is for an antique baroque-style vanity tray and perfume bottle with a lustrous 24 karat gold finish. This stunning, hand-painted dresser set from the Victorian era was produced by LeMieux China. The large vanity tray is composed of fine French porcelain. Gilded scrollwork surrounds the piece with an ornate sea foam green band around the inside edge of the tray, as well as raised gold roses and daisies. Très magnifique! In the center of the tray is a hand-painted composition of a woman playing chess with a man, as another woman looks on from afar. This piece measures approximately 13-1/2" from handle to handle x 7-1/2' wide. The perfume bottle is also hand-painted & decorated with lustrous 24 karat gold. The front of the bottle depicts a Victorian scene of two ladies and a man chatting the afternoon away. The ornate details by the artist are utterly exquisite! The sides of the bottle are also sea foam green with gold accents. The back of the bottle is solely gold with a raised design. The stopper is also porcelain with the entire outer area covered in 24 karat gold. The stopper has cork around the upper edge of it that fits in the bottle. The perfume bottle measures 5-1/4" tall x 3" at its widest point. It is signed on the underside "LeMieux China 24 Karat Gold Hand Decorated" with a crown and leaf design surrounding the mark. The tray is in excellent condition with minimal wear to the gilt. The perfume bottle is in very good condition, but the bottom of the piece has a few chips, but nothing too noticeable (see photographs).
