100yr Biedermeier - Sleigh Bed From Germany

Dimensions are approximate as it's all in centimeters: H- 36 inches D- 34 inches L- 70 inches This Biedermeier bed made it through 2 world wars and then my parents bought it for me to sleep in when we lived in Germany. We brought it with us when we moved from Germany to Colorado in 1994. When my daughter was born in 2020, I didn't realize that my parents still had it and brought it by. Had both my kids sleep in it, but my son wants a big plastic car bed...go figure. When my parents bought the bed originally it was a super glossy black. About 5 years ago, my wife and i refinished it using a bright Sherwin Williams flat red. I believe we still have some paint and have the color code if added touchup is needed. I'm not sure what type of wood it is. I think it must have gotten beat up in the world wars and that's why they painted it. We saw putty and filler when we stripped it before refinishing it. It has a custom cut foam mattress (smaller then Twin) that sits on springs (bed comes with actual spring bottom, see pictures) that we ordered off of Amazon several years back. Sides of bed come up so helps prevent kiddos from falling out. It's sentimental, but I can't keep it forever since we don't have the room. But I would feel great if someone else can get some great use out of it.
