Known for being an excellent tool for crit racing with its low stack (535), steep headtube angle (73) and super short chain stays (405). If you’re looking for an absolute rocketship at a relatively low cost this is something worthy of your consideration. Additionally, this bike only weighs 16lbs which also makes it ideal for tackling all mountains in Southern California. In my experience with this build i loved how quick it felt. The rear triangle was ultra stiff which made sprinting, climbing, and accelerating feel ultra snappy. Something to note, all the qualities that make this bike fast also make the ride feel harsh. In my younger days I didn’t mind but now I’m looking for more comfort hence the reason for the sale. Perhaps the most stand out quality are the aesthetics. Obviously I’m biased as I love the silhouette of an old school bike. This caad5 is no exception. The horizontal top tube, slammed stem, and the piece de resistance, Enve fork with its straight blade and silver lettering pair perfectly with the overall ethos of the build.
