Description
I have owned and lived in this camper for approx 2 years. It came pretty much stock with everything working other than an AC unit. I have remodeled it inside and out to be suitable to living in it fulltime so there are some changes that I have made, some reversible and some not. The first thing I installed was a solar charging system, its a renogy system, 2 solar panels attached to the roof, a 40amp mppt solar charger and 4 sealed AGM batteries. The system works great for everything in the camper and I rarely ever need to plug in (maybe 1-2 times a month depending on where I am). The batteries still have a good 2-4 years left. The is a surge protector when plugged into shore power that protects from low and high voltage. There is a 1500watt inverter when running off batteries that powers everything that I use. Higher wattage appliances (microwave, AC, etc) will require a larger inverter. There is a battery monitor that shows current and past usage. All the electronics are in what used to be the shower/bathroom so there is no way of reversing this, I have re-routed the black water tank into a urinal but for pooping that requires a different tack. I added an exterior customizable roof rack that is currently setup to carry a thule container, a 14ft kayak carrier and a 9ftx3ft deck. This can be setup to carry anything or taken off all together. The inside cabinet over table was extended and holds 4 large plastic containers for storage, as well as in the former bathroom/shower, in addition to holding the electronics it holds another 4 large storage containers and 2 smaller ones. I have built a shelf next to the queen size bed that holds all my clothing, this is easily removable. There is a refridgerator, forced air heater and hot water heater that all work and run off propane, the fridge in particular is very efficient on propane. I believe the dry weight of the camper to be around 2,000-2,500lbs so I HIGHLY recommend a ¾ ton truck or bigger, preferably a dually and long bed. I have it on a 2006 gmc sierra 2500HD. Any questions please feel free to shoot me an email, only serious buyers please.
