Up for sale is a great sounding pair of Vandersteen Model 1 speakers. The Model 1 is a two-way with an 8” Poly woofer in a vented enclosure and a 1” dome tweeter in a time/phase aligned ported enclosure with a first order crossover. Classic design that’s held up for 40 years and is still in production today. If you’re looking into audiophile speakers, the Vandersteen Model 1 is a great place to start without breaking the bank. Pretty sure these are a set of latter 1B’s, with the flashlight I can see the metal dome tweeter in there. Serial numbers are sequential and in the 45XXX range. They have the original stands and screw in spikes as well. This pair is in great shape with hardly any snags in the socks, wood looks to be cherry with some smaller dings. Overall in VERY presentable shape. Specifications Two-way loudspeaker Drivers: 8" "filled polycone" woofer, 1" aluminum-dome tweeter. Bass alignment: reflex, specified as "transmission line. Crossover: 2.8kHz, 6dB/octave slopes. Frequency response: 38Hz–22.5kHz, ±3dB. Recommended amplification: 20–100Wpc. Impedance: 6.8 ohms ±2 ohms. Sensitivity: 90dB/W/m.
