Anyone can have a coffee maker, and drip makers are cheap BUT if you want some CLASS in your kitchen and BETTER COFFEE too.... Nothing beats the old fashioned percolator like my grandma had in her kitchen every day. I think this is 8 to 12 cups I can check (same model listed elsewhere stated 8-12), but it is super clean inside without the scale or stains they can get and I didnt even clean it more than a rinse! Im sure it will gleam like new if cleaned but it DOES NOT need it. Put the coffee in the top strainer and it heats the water to the proper temp and shoots it up the tube to rain down over the coffee. As it goes over and over it gets stronger and when it is perfect (I dont know how it knows) it stops shooting the water up and holds it at the right temp. Ready to dispense from the spigot. No glass carafe to pour from or drop and break. It looks great on your counter too, and you will get questions and comments when people notice it, and they will notice it. No ugly plastic and glass Mr Coffee drip maker or even the Keurigs, which are super handy fast and easy, but if you have dinner or people over a silver coffee urn is the way to go
