Description
1995 JDM Mitsubishi Delica 4WD Turbo Diesel Camper Welcome to your next get-away mobile. This adventure packed, pint-sized camper is probably one of the best “full” campers you could ever want for 4×4, and offroad / off the gird exploring. This camper was made by Vantech in Japan, in partnership with Reimo – from Germany, both leadindg coach manufacturers in their respective regions of the globe, think the Westfalia of Japan. Both of these companies are still in business, making parts support on the camper end of things very easy. It has a tremendously short wheelbase and comes in at just about 16ft long. The drivetrain couldn’t be more simple and reliable, featuring Mitsubishi’s renowned 4D56T, the turbo version of the 4d56. For those of you who don’t know, the 4d56 is the engine that Mitsubishi used to win the Dakkar rally with 3 years in the 1980s. It’s been used, and made for the last 35+ years. It’s still made and used in many models today. Parts availability is wide spread across the globe. This is a Delica Truck chassis so the front end share very similar body panels to a Delica L300 van including the same doors and windshield and a very similar interior, it’s mated to a 5 speed transmission with a Hi – Lo 4×4 transfer case. This particular example has only 113066 original miles on the clock. It’s in great condition, both inside and out. It features two beds, the upper bed slides out to make a very large full / queen size bed. Double pane acrylic european style dometic windows all around. It has 15 gallons fresh water holding tank, a restroom / storage space with a Porta potti. Two burner propane / butane stove top, stainless steel sink. Very spacious dinette that converts to a huge bed on the lower level, both seat backs adjust and slide, also there are 4 seat belts in the rear. This rig can seat 6 . Plenty of storage both overhead and in cabinets / drawers throughout the space. It’s a very intelligent and efficient use of space in this small yet capable package. This rig gets around 21-24 mpg. Which is phenomenal considering the other options out there. It is also fitted with a Webasto diesel heater that is plumbed to the diesel tank, which can be run when the vehicle is off and is extremely efficient, more so than a propane heater. Specs: 1994 Mitsubishi Delica 4×4 Truck JB500 Vantech Camper 4D56 Turbo Diesel Engine, 2,500CC. 21-24mpg 5 Speed Manual transmission with 4 Hi and 4 Lo transfer case 113 original miles on the clock. Full Fiberglass Coach, seamless, and leak free Interior in great condition, all original upholstery – no stains or funky smells. Features full dinette that converts to bed and very large cabover bed that slides out to become even larger Galley with stainless steel sink, and 2 burner propane stove top 50 Liter AC/DC Fridge 15 Gallons fresh water holding tanks Webasto Diesel heater – very efficient Rear Bathroom / storage space with Porta potti, shelving, light, vanity mirror 2 Outside built in storage compartments, lockable. 16ft Long, 9ft Tall. Park anywhere, navigate anywhere. A few fun facts considering it's over 20 years old. The campershell is german Reimo factory built specific to the L200 4x4 4D46 4cyl diesel 1 tonne Mitsubishi truck.. which is almost identical to the normal JDM L300 running gear/engine that we are familiar with (now starting to be imported into the US). The difference lies in the ladder truck frame vs monocoque van body. GVW is not much more than a standard 90's JDM L300 which was surprising considering the size difference, but then it makes sense as it's on a stripped down ladder frame truck chassis. Interior has propane stove, 3 way 12v/120v/propane Dometic fridge, propane forced air furnace, Atwood water heater and an electric 12v/120v radiant heater. Full shower/sink & toilet w external removable cassette. The windows are double glazed acrylic that are used in modern european/domestic and RV campers to eliminate condensation
