The chairs borrow from centuries-old Windsor design traditions and are made of genuine solid oak, not the cheap tropical rubberwood painted to look like oak that became common during this era. The table features a genuine oak rotary veneer top that showcases a stunning, continuous flame grain pattern you simply cannot get from basic butcher block or rubberwood builds. The chairs share an amber oak tone that is slightly less saturated than the table, but as you can see in the photos, they pair together into a wonderfully cohesive set. Overall condition is good. The tabletop has some slight orange peel texture in the finish, but it remains solid, firm, and ready to last a long time, with just a few minor scuffs from light use. The chairs are in decent condition with some scuffing and scratching on the seats as expected for their age, but they remain completely sturdy with plenty of life left in them. At 42 inches in diameter, this table is the perfect size for a medium dining room or eat-in kitchen space. It keeps a compact footprint without feeling crowded, comfortably seating four adults. You will need a vehicle tall enough to fit the table standing or angled. Normally the pedestal base is removable, but a couple of the original screws are broken off inside, so unless those are drilled out, the base does not come off. If you prefer to detach it for transport, it would not be difficult to drill those two screws out.
