Candelabra Lamps Lights

This is a truly beautiful pair of vintage L&F Moreau candelabra lamps! I have seen similar boy & girl sets by Moreau...but, they always have the metal pipe coming up the back or side to hold the lamp harp & shade...distracting from the figures. Never have I seen a pair like this...the way the candelabra just flows out of the top of the curling vines gives a much more organic feel to them. The painting on these is pretty natural and muted...unlike some that are gilded. They seem like they were painted to look "antique" to begin with. They are very large and quite heavy. I thought they were cast iron...but, they may be spelter? They do need some cleaning. The tallest candelabra is about 36" when the light bulb is in. They are each marked L&F Moreau and have a mark saying "Collection Francise Made in U.S.A." The back has a twist knob to turn the lamps on/off. We are sad to see them go as they have been a part of our family since they were bought in the 1940's or 50's and they will be missed. But, we no longer have room for them and want someone else to have the opportunity to love them as much as we have!  Serious buyers only!
