This is my first welder. I learned on it and got confident enough to move on to other types. Its the old kind that last so I had cleaned up some of the rust, primed and painted it to keep it lasting. I put on the quick disconnects and replaced the welding cables with new 1/0 gauge wire. The stinger side is 18 feet long and the ground side is 12 feet long (good for big projects like a trailer). The power cord is 6 1/2 foot long. These old units are heavy so you can keep the dolly its on if you want it. If you are new to welding, this one costs more than the only AC version that is more common. I really liked how well DC welds penetrated over AC but AC has its perks too. This works on 220v and you would do well to have it on a double pole 50 amp breaker. This has the power to tackle most issues around a house or farm.
