1992 Fender Custom Shop ‘57 Reissue Stratocaster, Dick Dale Signed, Art Esparza

A very cool early custom shop 57 reissue Stratocaster. This one was made in 1992. It was later hand signed by Dick Dale as per the paperwork included with the guitar. It also has very cool gold hardware! Although back then they weren’t using the term “masterbuilt” to describe their instruments, this one does have the stamp of masterbuilder Art Esparza in the neck pocket. This one clearly has 57 re-issue specs with a more substantial V-neck in the medium-chunky range. The guitar looks to be all original, and has all the proper markings and features of a custom shop built in this area. The guitar comes with the paperwork you see in the photo from the previous dealer. The COA is MIA, but you can order these via replacement from the custom shop if you want. Cosmetically I would say this one is in “very good” condition. It shows some signs of playwear. There is finished checking in a couple places. There are scratches on the back near the back plate. Obviously it has the signature below the bridge. A very cool Strat from a very cool era of the Fender custom shop. The fact that Dick Dale handled it and signed it is an added bonus.
