The Warren Haynes Les Paul Standard 2025 is designed for blues, rock, and Americana players who want a guitar with both vintage aesthetics and modern, studio-friendly electronics. It offers the warm tone and playability of a traditional Les Paul while providing the unique, hum-free character of P-90 pickups and the versatility of a clean boost circuit. Finish: The guitar features a glossy, non-weight-relieved mahogany body with a plain maple cap in a "60s Cherry" nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This finish was inspired by Haynes's cherished 1961 ES-335. Neck and fretboard: It has a mahogany neck with a substantial "50s Vintage" profile, offering a comfortable, classic feel. The neck is topped with a 12-inch radius Indian rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, and acrylic trapezoid inlays. Hardware: The guitar is equipped with nickel hardware, including a vintage-style ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge and an aluminum stopbar tailpiece for excellent sustain and tuning stability. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons complete the old-school look, and the control knobs are gold top hats with dial pointers. A cream pickguard and soapbar pickup covers are also included. Electronics P-90 DC pickups: The most notable electronic feature is a pair of hum-canceling P-90 DC (Dual Coil) soapbar pickups. These pickups are designed to deliver the rich, snappy tone of traditional P-90 single-coil pickups, but without the characteristic hum. Haynes, a longtime humbucker player, was particularly drawn to their sound. 15 dB clean boost: A mini-toggle switch is located between the volume and tone knobs, which activates an onboard 15 dB clean boost circuit. This feature offers an extra push for solos or cutting through a mix. Boost power and operation: The boost is powered by a 9V battery, housed in a quick-access compartment on the back control plate. The guitar remains fully functional even if the battery dies, by simply turning the boost switch to the off position. Handwired controls: The electronics are handwired, featuring Orange Drop capacitors and 500k potentiometers for a vintage-correct signal path.
