Authentic US NAVY Ship Hatch Door

A beautiful REAL and AUTHENTIC US NAVY metal ship hatch/door that was meticulously refinished in 2019. The door measures 68” tall and is 28” wide. The door weight approximately 75-100lbs. The door features a 6” diameter glass porthole with original 3/4” thick marine glass and solid brass “dogs” around the perimeter for a water-tight closure (if you had the frame). As stated before, I stripped many layers of old lead based marine paint from the door and refinished the piece in 2019. I repainted the door in a “marine gray” vintage crackle finish and have kept the door outside for the past 3 years, inducing a nice weathered patina. I intended to use the door as a nautical themed outdoor bar, but went another direction. The door has been a décor item near our pool and quite the conversation starter. This would make an excellent bar top, coffee table, man cave door, wall décor, or garden bench. This door will start many conversations and add uniqueness to any nautical or vintage themed home or office.
