Description

Up for sale today is a gorgeous example of the iconic first generation 1983 Specialized Stumpjumper. Lugged chromoly steel frame, bi-plane fork, sized 19.5” center to center seat tube, 31” standover. Serial number and parts places this as a late 1983 model. All parts are original or period correct. Bull moose bars, Toad Stool grips, Suntour Mighty shifters, Mountech rear and deer head front derailleurs, Sugino triple crank. Dia-Compe levers and Mafac cantilever brakes with upgraded koolstop pads. Araya 26” wheels are true and round with Ritchey all terrain tires. Completely lubed and tuned with new cables and lined housings, tubes, chain, and bottom bracket bearings. Paint chips on the chainstay have been touched up and a protector installed. Minor scratches and cable rub have been left alone to show the character of this fine machine. No dents or bends, frame is rock solid. 100% ready to ride and turn heads.
