1997 Mercedes SL500 w/ 254K on the odometer A fantastic time capsule/retro ride. Though not perfect, this car shows no signs of slowing down and performs flawlessly as a driver’s car. It’s ready to drive in its current form! Notable repairs over my ownership: - Timing chain 1/2024 - Rear wheel bearings 10/2023 - Front control arms 9/2023 - Rear differential 11/2022 - Steering lock 9/2022 - Flex discs 7/2022 - Aluminum radiator 4/2022 - Blower motor w/resistor 7/2021 - Rear window 7/2021 The car is NOT perfect, repairs it will need are as follows/ - Convertible top does not function (Previous owner allegedly had seals redone) - Roll bar does not function (could be reason top doesn’t work) - Center driveshaft bearing is noisy (flutter noise, no grinding) - Rear suspension is squeaky - Driver’s seat cushion liner is torn up Oil changed every 5K miles. Transmission serviced at 230K Spark plugs changed at 230K Coolant flushed at 220K $5000 OBO. Ask me questions!
