Surly Big Dummy Cargo Bike

For sale is a well loved long tail cargo bike - NOT electric, this runs on burritos. This was my main commuting rig as a musician in California, and can haul some serious weight. The gear ratio was optimized for climbing foothills/canyons under load, so will work just fine for getting up to speed in the relative flatlands here, even fully loaded. It has seen plenty of musical gigs, camping trips and tours along the Pacific coast highway. Functionally everything is in good shape. New shifter cables and everything is smooth. Shimano Deore LX shifting, BB7 disc brakes with 180mm rotors, ritchey headset. Cosmetically, this is well loved with some superficial paint scratches (surly clear coat is notoriously not that strong), and mild rusting of bolts and springs. It has never seen salted roads of a Chicago winter. Includes kryptonite heavy duty chain lock. Can offer choice of saddle: selle anatomica (pictured), spiderflex, or brooks imperial.
