Large Antique Qing Chinese Silver Lapis Repousse Engraved Dangle Pendant Necklace Bell Charms Tang Horses SPECTACULAR! FROM AN ESTATE This unique pendant belonged to the estate of my mother. She had acquired it in the mid-1970's from a well known antique dealer in Chicago. She would always wear it every year on the day of the Chinese New Year. About 25 years ago, she had the necklace section, with the lapis and the horses, professionally restrung with new string. The pendant was beautifully worked by the artist, using both engraving and repousse. The amount of detail is very impressive. It was made by a master. This pendant still has the 5 original bell charms. I understand that these are often missing. The antique dealer that sold it to her told her that he suspected that the pendant might have come from the Miao ethnic minority tribal region. On the front, it has some Chinese characters. It does not come marked with the silver fineness, something that is typical of these antique pieces. The dimensions of the pendant are 4" x 3". The bells dangle about another 3" below the pendant. The lapis necklace is about 12" on either side of the pendant, for a combined length of 24". It weighs 5.5 oz. The overall condition is in very good vintage/antique condition. It displays normal minor wear for this type of antique. It does not have any type of major defect. It retains the type of natural patina that develops over the years on this type of item.
