1980 Volkswagen 181

Up for sale is my cherished and well maintained 1980 Volkswagen Vanagon Riviera camper. Nice video on youtube-"overland nomadic 180 awning on vanagon". Other than the body and original interior, most everything mechanical is new and or upgraded. The motor is a brand new 2056cc Scat Motor with new 40 Empi Dual Carbs. New Alternator, starter, coil and everything else in the engine bay. New Porsche 944 axles and CVs, fuel pump, brakes, stub axles, new bronze 15in rims with spacers, undercoating, Under Lights, throttle cable, rhino lined lower sides, speedometer cable, awesome center storage console, shifter rebuilt, bearings, rubber bushings, swivel seat, working stove from portable tanks, 7 gal new water in van, oversized 8kw diesel heater that can turn van into sauna. All Led light bulb swapped as well as headlights, new battery, 4 prong tow lights, large top bar light to make night become day, rear fog lights for backing up/camping, 180 OSV awning that is amazing and very big. super easy to open and close. mid grade CD/Bluetooth stereo, custom horn, slide out table, popup original mattress, backup camera system with large 7in screen, nice heater boxes, water pump for sink , foldout shelf on outside for camping tables, full window coverings, full side window screens, extra rear hatch that's the same color without the glass and another set of Heads I had built for previous motor. New Rancho Transmission with custom gears to push these big 29in tires up the steep hills if needed. New Empi dual exhaust, rear window defrost and waterproof wood flooring and original front rubber matting in like new shape. All of these upgrades have been installed the past 2 years and only has 7500 miles on it so far. I'm the 3rd owner and the odometer reads 19990 due to turning over once. Also there are a nice pair of traction boards attached to the rear bumper with a handy fold down bracket to open the rear hatch. Trailer hitch, spare tire clam shell, 8 ton hijack with Vanagon lift adaptor from GOWESTY, GOWESTY high lift springs and HD Bilstein shocks Chitto the van has been very well cared for and took me on many dives up in WA for work and research in the cold Peuget Sound.
