-In 1941 Trend began using self-starting electric movements from the Sessions Clock Company in Connecticut. These movements were used until Wil interrupted production./ -Following WWiI, Trend began using Hansen electric movements. -Trend introduced its first grandmother clock in 1949 -Hall clocks were added to their production line following the success of its grandmother clock When it introduced hall clocks, it found it needed a supplier of mechanical movements. Beginning in 1951 Trend used the German company Schatz to supply its mechanical movements. -Hansen and Schatz were suppliers for Trend through the 1950s. -A line of clocks in the French Provincial style was introduced in the 1950s. This clock was bought in the early *80s
