Description

Overview: Up for sale is an original color aquatint etching on artist's paper by listed Austrian artist, Luigi Kasimir (1(contact info removed)). Kasimir was a recognized master of aquatint etchings. An Austrian artist who spent some years in the United States in the 1930's. This is one of his more famous etchings, depicting the famous "El Capitan" vertical rockface in Yosemite National Park in Northern California. Pencil signed at lower center. The etching is matted and framed under glass. There is an old gallery tag identifying the artist and scene. Condition: The print appears to be in excellent condition. Matting and frame have minor wear. Minor water staining on bottom edge of back of frame. Measurements: Image measures approximately 18 inches high x 12 inches wide (sight). Frame measures approximately 26.5 inches high x 20.5 inches wide.
