Description

Awesome bass, everything is functional, including the electronics and truss rod. Tuners hold tight after all these years. Bass plays well and has been setup for medium action. It's a phenomenal player with no issues other than the cosmetics. Please take time to view all of the pictures as they are part of the description. An oldie but goldie, the initial run of ibanez sr800's that were made in Japan from 1987 to 2002 are some of the most cost-effective bass guitars you can find nowadays. There are some differences throughout the years, and this is an early Gen 1 model, making it an sr800le. These came from the factory with the ibanez omni adjust bridge, which is a rebranded gotoh model. The saddles have a set screw that you can lock into place after setting intonation. Unfortunately, most of these bridges were broken from folks not unlocking the saddle before attempting to adjust intonation. This particular bass did not suffer from that. All saddles are good and the screws spin freely. Nothing is stripped. For the electronics, ibanez used an active 2 band preamp with active lo-z pickups. You can get a lot of useful tones out of it thanks to the 2 band eq. It has new strings and has been set up for medium action. It sounds great, and has a really thin neck that lets you glide across the fretboard with ease. Comes with a vintage original hard case. Shipping is to the lower 48 states via ups and the bass will be packed well. Thank you and good luck on your next guitar purchase
