I got two bikes from Pure Cycles several weeks ago for my wife and I. This one, the single speed Volta, and also the 8-speed version ({url removed} show contact info .html). Unfortunately we're moving and won't have room for these but can't take them back, so our loss is your gain. This electric bike has a 250 watt gearless hub motor that gets it up to a top speed of 20 mph with the torque sensing pedal assist. It's an incredibly smooth ride and because it's a belt drive it's virtually silent. The batteries and wiring are all internal so it not only looks beautiful, but it's under the radar and not easy to tell it's electric, which is why we got these bikes in the first place. It also has a lot of tech built in, like a GPS system that tracks the bike in the event it's stolen, an integrated alarm system, a smartphone app to fine tune the motor and speed, a key fob to remotely turn the bike on and off, integrated headlight and taillight that gets brighter when you hit the brakes, regenerative braking, motor inhibitors and quite a bit more. This electric bike runs for $2,499, plus shipping and assembly and taxes. I'm pricing it to sell at $1,800. It's been ridden less than 20 miles and been stored inside the rest of the time.
